No not really. remember that Mahomes inherited Alex Smiths' KC team. Mahomes was a wildcard pick, he lost against Baker Mayfield in a shootout and Baker wasn't so hot in CLE. So Mahomes fell into a perfect position. If Baker Mayfield landed to KC w/ ALEX SMITH, Mayfield would have a ring , and if Mahomes went to CLE, he would be in Mayfields position. Watson was a bust because Houston was a better team than CHI and Watson demanded to be traded. So Watson would have demanded a trade by now. Also remember that Deshone Kizer was rated higher than Mahomes. Again, he inherited Alex Smiths team. In the end the 9ers used that pick to get Solomon Thomas and Thomas plays for the Raiders now. Really Bears messed up in the following draft when they didn't draft an OLINE and released the RB.

Bears had an awful coaching staff along with qb mentors to develop him with. Nagy did some things but didn't do much with him. Trubisky literally went to the bills who developed Josh Allen into what he was and Josh Allen wasn't at all good in college he was trash, but the coaching staff and their qb coach developed him perfectly which is what they will probably do with trubisky, I don't think you understand what a project qb is
